Another fine day dawned and another full days drive ahead. I hadn't originally planned to arrive in Canberra on Wednesday but our decision to get in a couple of extra hours the day before meant it was an easily attainable target. And considering the time involved in setting up camp, preparing dogs etc the extra night made things so much better.
Due to a combination of factors I didn't take many pics this day... much of the scenery was pretty average... how many pics can you take of dust and dirt and scrubby trees?! Jodi had a rather explosive case of the trots which made stopping frequent and sometimes messy! And there was smoke everywhere which made what photo ops there was pretty impossible!
We kept trying to tune into radio stations fearing the smoke was from a fire nearby but there was nothing on the news - still not sure where it was coming from. I did consider the Victorian fires but we seemed a long way away... anyway we didnt see a fire but here is a pic of the smog - taken just outside Wagga Wagga.
